John's Party | Event
When Linda contacted me about photographing her husband John's birthday/retirement party two days before the event my first reaction was to wonder how an earth I would fit it into my already packed schedule! But when I learned that the party was to be held on a boat on the Thames, and that it was to be a proper knee's up with family and friends that John hadn't seen for years, I found the opportunity to record what sounded like such a fun event pretty hard to resist! And fun it certainly was!... Style Me Pretty | Feature
In a recent interview I was asked to name just ONE of my favourite websites. An impossible task to begin with, but when I narrowed it down to my favourite wedding related website, the answer was pretty easy. Style Me Pretty is the ultimate in wedding inspiration, and the photography featured there never fails to impress me.So you can imagine my excitement when last night I found out the lovely Abby had featured Claire & Hywel's wedding on SMP! I saw the feature just before going to bed a... Read Full Story
Michelle - The Undrowned Child | Portrait
You may remember that I took author portraits of Michelle Lovric back in May. Well her new book, The Undrowned Child, will be published tomorrow 2nd of July. It's Michelle's first foray into children's literature, but it's definitely not just for the young ones. In her own words the book is for:"everyone who might be interested in a book about Venice, rude mermaids, baddened magic, hot chocolate and curry. And books, of course. (Isn’t that everyone?)".Go check out the fun website, complete with... Read Full Story
Andaz Summer Garden Launch Party | Event
I've had a bit of a break from weddings this weekend, but I've still kept pretty busy. On Friday I was photographing the launch party of the Summer Garden at Andaz Liverpool Street. It was a bit of an unusual event for me to cover, but I do love the venue and have more weddings to shoot there in the future, which I'm really looking forward to. What I loved most about Friday night's do though? All the lush pink details everywhere! Who could have guessed eh.... :DLabels: event, event photograp... Read Full Story
Out for count
From:  mnoo.com
Soo the cold I was trying to fight off developed into a full-on chest infection and really knocked me out for count. Annoyingly it meant that I had to reschedule consultations and a maternity shoot, which has now been moved a week further, which is making me feel a bit nervous and I'm really hoping that the baby doesn't decide to arrive a bit earlier than expected. Fingers crossed we're still good to go on the shoot next week!Just to add insult to injury I (of course!) got ill on press week, ... Read Full Story
Fighting colds and sipping cocktails
From:  mnoo.com
Oh my where does the time go.I'm currently trying desperately to fight off a sore throat and a cold that's trying to sneak up on me. If I can hold it at bay at least long enough to get through tomorrow's wedding I'll be happy...Last night I went out for some cocktails with a few fabulous ladies. Me, Sooz, Kat, Chanelle, Liz, Ly and Rhiannon, among others, headed to the Cellar Door and took full advantage of their happy hour. Lots of fun was had and useful contacts created. I'm feeling really ... Read Full Story
Sample Book | Wedding
To be honest, I've always thought that the kind of photography I do is best displayed in a coffee table book. I find it's a format that lets me tell the story of the day in the most efficient way, as it's more cost effective to include a larger number of pages. I also like the idea that coffee table books are items that will get used more as they seem 'less precious', allowing you to get them out more often for a flick through, unlike super expensive high end albums which generally get tucke... Claire & Hywel - Portraits | Wedding
We nearly missed the window of opportunity for some portraits of Claire & Hywel because the dinner was served just when sun started going down. Thankfully the couple wolfed their food down in order to go out for a few pictures literally minutes before we lost all the light. And I'm so glad they did, as these are some of my favourite portraits I've shot this year!Claire and Hywel are just the sweetest couple, and I hope they're having a blast on their honeymoon in Crete. I wish you guys t... Read Full Story
Claire & Hywel - Reception | Wedding
Claire & Hywel had their wedding reception at The Garden Museum in Lambeth. I adored this unusual venue, with pretty flowers and colours everywhere! I might have in fact gone a bit trigger happy with all the lush greenery around, but I just couldn't resist! This was a perfect venue for my style of creative wedding reportage, as I could sneak up from behind trees and bushes like a ninja (well, I like to think). Also, Lettice did an amazing job with the catering, the food was gorgeous and ... Read Full Story
