Sony has plans to launch a new online service next year that will allow users to download music and movies to their televisions.
"I'd like it to get off the ground as quickly as possible," said Kazuo Hirai, executive vice president of Sony and head of its Networked Products & Service Group, in an interview at the company's Tokyo headquarters. "Earlier in the year is more preferable."

Small businesses that features reviews on their website are seeing significant returns, according to a new survey from RatePoint.
Among the 30 percent of small business retailers who had product reviews on their websites, 43 percent said reviews had led to more sales, while 28 percent indicated they had resulted in more traffic.
