Unique Spa Experiences in Vegas

It goes without saying that most of the hotels that you will choose to stay in have their own spas that provide the typical treatments of massages, mani/pedis, facials, etc. So we wanted to feature a couple that give you ladies of leisure a unique treatment experience that you may not find in your day to day spa. Venture out -- be adventurous!

Aquae Sulis Spa at JW Marriott -- Check out their Vichy Shower Treatments: Vichy Shower Treatments use hydrotherapy, a natural method of using water pressure and temperature to promote wellness and healing. What sets Aquae Sulis Spa’s Vichy treatment menu apart from other spas is the incorporation of a facial element which culminates this special service. Vichy showers provide a controlled warm, tropical rain that enhances all body treatments by improving circulation and hydrating the skin to eliminate stress. As you lay comfortably on a special treatment bed, horizontal shower heads from above drench the body with stimulating jets of water. The shower heads are targeted to areas of built-up tension, relieving overall stress and fatigue. All 45-minute treatments include a body wash, scrub, wrap, moisturizer application and the mini facial. The current spa menu includes the following Vichy selections:

• The Mermaid - This treatment utilizes natural organic properties from the sea to hydrate, detoxify, and tone the skin. 45-minutes at $150.
• Crystal Goddess - Organic blend of Himalayan cedar, yuzu grapefruit, and sandalwood. Skin is left nourished and enriched with an earthy scent. 45-minutes at $150.
• Berry Fusion - Blueberries, cranberries, and raspberries...oh my! This organic blend loads the skin with antioxidant power and Vitamin C. Skin is left fresh, renewed and youthful. 45-minutes at $150.
• Turkish Scrub - A eucalyptus and salt exfoliation, rich in minerals and trace elements. An enriched moisture cream leaves even the driest of skin hydrated and nourished. 25-minutes at $80.
• Wine Scrub - An organic sugar scrub exfoliation with Italian red wine reduction, crushed grape seeds, and grape seed oil, followed by an almond biscotti body butter leaving skin soft and radiant. 25-minutes at $80.

Qua Baths & Spa at Caesar's Palace: Some people come to Las Vegas to enjoy the clear skies, warmth and sun, but at Caesars Palace there is a treatment room where it snows all year long. In Qua's Arctic Ice Room, "snow" gently descends from a domed ceiling through mint-infused air chilled to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Apparently the Romans enjoyed cooling down after a hot soak, and spa operators say such rapid cooling of the body has proven health benefits.

Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay: Mandalay Bay is offering cocktail-inspired spa treatments at the Moorea Beach Club and the Bathhouse at THEhotel. During the 10-minute, $30 "body shots," massage therapists apply cooled lotion in a choice of fragrances, including Mai Tai, Pina Colada and Margarita. The cost is $30. In addition, tan-enhancing body shots come in Coconut Colada, Beach Rum Cooler and Rum on the Rocks fragrances. And a sun-shield body shot is available in SPF 15 or SPF 30.
