Network Marketing Success - What Can Cause Failure in Network Marketing and How You Can Overcome and Be Successful

A few weeks ago, I realized that one of my downline associates had hit the wall and come to a breaking point in his quest for network marketing success.

Regretfully, this man seemed to quit easily whenever things didn’t go his way, and for the third time he threw in the towel a few weeks after announcing he was getting started again.

Each time, he seemed to start out with a great, can-do attitude.

What might have occurred to cause this?

Why do reasonably qualified and capable people start in this business, try over and over, and never quite make it? Is it the fault of the network marketing business model? I don’t think so.

What is it?

For anyone starting a home based network marketing business, there is a question they must answer to themselves up front.

That important question to ask is - how bad do you want it?

How you think and feel about your business will help determine how successful you will be. It is necessary to take a deep look at your beliefs and understand what really motivates you.

Do you really want to quit that job and work from home? Is that job with the regular paycheck and the apparent security it offers really something you want to leave? Do you have a deep desire to step out, take risks, and make this happen?

What will happen if you just dream and think about making more money and quitting that job someday, all the while living with a deep fear of ever really doing it? Is there anything there, deep inside, that drives you to overcome that fear and really move forward with your business?

Determine, in your mind, whether achieving success in your business is really a top priority with you. Look at the whole picture here. What happens when you have some extra money and time you can spend? Do you put that money and time back into building your business, or blow it on something you don’t really need?

Network marketing success means a lot more than just having good intentions for achieving your goals and dreams.

Examining your deep beliefs and motivations is crucial. Knowing yourself helps break down and destroy obstacles and barriers that otherwise would hold you back from success. I have no doubt that the man who re-started his network marketing business three times, and quit three times, had some internal issues that he never worked through.

While I am not a mind reader and may never know for sure, there are some conclusions I’ve drawn from our discussions.

- deep down, I don’t think he really had any driving reason for building a business other than just a wish to make a little more money.

- he showed a tendency to talk frequently about what he was going to do, without backing it up with consistent action.

- rather than adopting a proven system for making money and building a strong business, he made a decision to try random, unproven methods that were ineffective.

To achieve success in network marketing, you must analyze and understand your own deep feelings and motivations.

The steps to performing this self analysis include:

- find out why you really want to build a network marketing business; is there enough “why” to help you break through obstacles and times of discouragement?

- determine if you’re willing to follow a proven plan for network marketing success - are you coachable and willing to learn from established leaders in your upline?

- are you willing to be open and always on the lookout for ways to do better and set yourself apart from everyone else?

How deeply should you examine your thoughts and beliefs to achieve network marketing success? Go as deep as you need to, do whatever you have to do. Get it right. Your future success is at stake.
