Sony seems to still roll out devices with the old branding(Sony Ericsson) on its home market.
With the recent naming convention which seems to govern Sony’s recent devices — Xperia S, Xperia U, Xperia P — it’s kind of difficult to keep track of all the codenames and model numbers. However, the backplate pictured above could easily belong to the Sony ST25i Kumquat aka Xperia U or another, so far unheard of upcoming model.

Samsung is bringing the Samsung Galaxy S II HD(also known as AT&T Skyrocket HD) to Canada.
Samsung Galaxy S II HD comes with a bigger4.65-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, a la Galaxy Nexus. In addition, this bad boy rocks a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, front-facing camera for video calls, NFC support, GPS and so on.
They’ll be selling the Galaxy S II HD for about $200-$300 on a three-year contract.

Bell Canada rollout an over-the-air update notification on their Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The update refers to a platform refresh which is bumping Android version number to 4.0.2 Ice Cream Sandwich.However, if you’re on Bell, check for an update on your Galaxy Nexus is you haven’t already received a notification.

AT&T will be doubling its upgrade fee to $36 starting Feb. 12.
In a message to Engadget, AT&T said:
Wireless devices today are more sophisticated than ever before. And because of that, the costs associated with upgrading to a new device have increased and is reflected in our new upgrade fee. This fee isn’t unique to AT&T and this is the first time we’re changing it in nearly 10 years.

HTC may shows monster handset called HTC Endeavour at MWC 2012.
As reports the HTC Endeavour will pack a massive 4.7-inch screen with a 720p HD resolution, will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich presumably with Ice Cream Sandwich and it will have an 8-megapixel camera with all the other goodies you’d expect from a high-end smartphone.

Recently in an FCC application we found, in which Google describes its plans to test a “next generation personal communication device”.
The application mentions that the device will use Bluetooth and WiFi for communication, and will undergo testing both at Google facilities and in the homes of employees. Today Samsung’s new low-end device has been leaked and it maybe called the Samsung Galaxy mini 2.
Samsung Galaxy mini 2 comes with bigger 3.3-inch screen with higher resolution (HVGA), a faster 800MHz processor and 3GB of built-in storage. The mini 2 will also run some version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread.Some other specs of the mini 2 include a 3 megapixel camera and 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity.

CyanogenMod brings some new Android Ice Cream Sandwich features for CM7 users, with the coming release of CyanogenMod 7.2

We have a good news for Galaxy S II users, recently Eldar Murtazin tweeted about Samsung’s plans about the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy S II.
According to Murtazin’s tweet, Galaxy S II users can expect to see the rollout of Ice Cream Sandwich on March 1st through Samsung Kies. This would definitely be quite a treat for users but we’re going to assume that if the update is available on March 1st, it will likely be limited to the international GSM version only.
