So I'm all about keeping it easy. I love this new website and blog platform called teacherwebit . The site allows teachers to quickly sign up for a subdomain, add a picture and assignment and have a blog set up in 5 minutes. The cool feature for this blog is that you can also upgrade and name your website anything you want. I've always wanted a Mrs.Welding.com, and I can do it here in a snap. The second feature that is pretty cool is that once I have my portal set up, I can add all my... Read Full Story

There are several news stories to choose from on the internet... Read Full Story

Almost unbelievable... I'm going back to work. *big grin* When we made this unexpected move to the desert, we thought I'd being staying home with Kate for 2 years--not so. Kate is ready for preschool (big time), and I'm more than ready to be back in the classroom--can't wait! I'm a little nervous because I taught in the same classroom in a great school for the first part of my career--I'm not sure what to expect in this new school in a somewhat rural community. I'll keep you posted... Read Full Story

The time was coming... I'm not currently in the classroom, and although I created this site to keep my hand in education, I'm finding that my time could be better spent other places. I love teaching, and blogging about tips and resources has been fun, but I'm focusing more heavily on my health right now. Feel free to join me at Juicy Alligator . I will leave this site up till my domain name expires next year--I know that there are some great tip sheets and other resources here... You can... Read Full Story
