The first competition section has run and, with no parc fermé tonight, some of the competitors are back and have work to do on their cars. South Australian Porsche crew Kevin Weeks and Bec Crunkhorn cruised home to win their third straight Classic Adelaide tarmac rally today. The pair crossed the finish line after an almost trouble-free run over four days of competition, needing only to adjust the speed of their 1974 Porsche 911RS to keep comfortably ahead of the opposition. 2 Victorian competitors in the Classic Adelaide tarmac rally were killed in a crash on the South Australian event today. They were driver Gary Tierney, 60, and co-driver David Carra, 43, both from Melbourne. Their 1974 Porsche 911RS skidded off a right-hand bend and struck a tree on Norsworthy Road, Forreston, about 40 kilometres north-east of Adelaide.
