Davidson Orchard
The other weekend we went to Davidson Orchards with some of our friends. It was Family week and so there was lots to do and see. Unfortunately there was also a rain storm that weekend too. First there was piles and piles of pumpkins in the parking lot, on the side walks in bins and everywhere you went. There was every size available. We got my daughter Joy a tiny one. It was probably big enough to make a pumpkin pie the size of two or three tarts. My wife got a normal size one. There wa... Read Full Story
Pumpkin Pie
The best thing about Thanksgiving is mom’s homemade pumpkin pie. If Iwas a vegitarian the only things I would eat is pumpkin pie, zucchini pound cake, carrot cake, carrot muffins and borsch. It is a good thing I am not a vegitarian. Tomorrow my wife is making another pie. I think we need to schedual Thanksgiving a little more often through out the year. It wouldn’t hurt to be a little more thankful and have a little more pie. Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to su... Read Full Story
Little Cousin
We had my brother and his family over the other night, so here is a photo of my daughters little cousin. They are only about a year apart. My daughter was watching her and trying to play with her. It will be fun to see the two grow up and learn to play together. It is amazing how many changes babies go through. I remeber my daugher being at the same stages and all the excitment that comes with watching them grow. There is nothing more fun that getting together with family and having a big pa... Full Of Bull
Here is a bull statue with my new Canon 55mm F1.8 lens. After several months of shooting with only a 70-300mm lens my wife got me a 50mm lens for our Anniversary. I have to say I like it a lot. It beats my kit lenses for sure. It’s clear, crisp and I like having the apature. It will take some time to get used to as all I shot with before was zoom lenses. The zooms are nice for candid photos. I think getting those quick shots will be a little harder with this lens because I will have to ... Read Full Story
Fresh Sardine…Real Fresh
I just realized how rarely I have been posting in this blog. The plan was for a somewhat of a regular update of my life and family. I also noticed that I have a food category that rarely gets post. It is not that my life has been boring or that I don’t like food. It is that my little girl doesn’t let me get much sleep and work is so busy that at the end of the day I like to sit around and do mindless things. Which includes being a lazy dad that lays on the floor while my daughter ... Read Full Story
Follow The Leader
The Path Summer is going so fast. It has been a great one. One that I won’t forget. My daughter has gone from crawling and riding in the stroller to walking with us. Probably one of the must fun things to watch is how she is learning to play. She is no longer just batting and grabing at things but it is talking, dancing and figuring out how things work. Riding and watching is no longer good enough. She wants to walk with us. She grabs our hands and puts them on toys to say play with it.... Read Full Story
Watchout for those apples
Lookout for apples Today we went to a farm where you can buy fruits, veggies and pies. It is about an hour drive and my wife and I would go there just for something to do on a Sunday afternoon. At the time I was working at a call center so we usually had “low budget” dates and we always had fun on the drive. Now I make nearly double the income but have a kid so we now have “low budget” family dates. There used to be gigantic rabbits at the farm (kind of like the man ea... Read Full Story
Camping Trip Round II
Camping Round II This year was camping trip number two for our daughter (third trip for the two of us). Last time she was 3 months and some people thought I was a crazy dad. This year she was 14 months and I now think I have gone crazy. It was lots of fun but with a 3 month we had plenty of time to relax and rest our selves. This year it was walking, watching, carrying, yelling “be careful”  and trying to entertain her. This year was a lot of work but it was still fun. This time ... Read Full Story
A Canada Day Walk
One of the greatest things of being a Dad is to watch her learn new things. This Canada day I got to take her for a short little walk through the park. It was fun  to taker her to the big celebration down at the park. As Canadians a big part of our Canada Day is celebrating different types of food, …um.. I mean all the different nationalities we have here. Which means all kinds of good food. This year I had Phillipean food. My wife and daughter had chowed down on some Chinese chow main.... The Sweetest Thing
This Canada day there were no fireworks for us. After a full day of wondering through the park our little girl Joy was tired out and ready for bed. I did however get a few cute shots of her that day. Maybe next year we will take her to see them. I can’t wait to see the expression on her face when she sees the fireworks for the first time. It is fun to think back to the time when I was a kid. I remember how big and extravagant everything seemed. Maybe it was or maybe I was so much small... Read Full Story
