Capitalism At Its Best
ON THE HOME FRONT
I spent a good part of yesterday evening in the E.R. because it was too hard to breath and cough. I went through several breathing treatments before they finally let me leave.
The doctor told me they thought about keeping me there, I am glad they let me leave, I would hate being stuck in there.

GOING HOME
Thirty-four years after his family fled Vietnam on a U.S. Navy ship, Hung Ba Le returns to the land of his birth for the first time. And it is a U.S. Navy ship — the guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen that he commands — that will take him there.
As South Vietnam crumbled under advancing North Vietnamese forces 34 years ago, 5-year-old Hung Ba Le and his family escaped and eventually found refuge on a U.S. Navy ship.
This week, he returns to the land of his birth for the first time.

CAPITALISM AT ITS BEST
Goldman Sachs and Citigroup and other large Wall St firms received doses of swine flu vaccine for at-risk employees, drawing criticism that the hard-to-find vaccine is going first to the privileged.
Goldman Sachs has received 200 doses, and Citigroup has received 1,200. Morgan Stanley received 1,000 doses but turned over its entire supply to local hospitals when it learned it received shipments before some area hospitals.
****I find it hard to believe Citigroup has 1200 at risk, pregnant women, infants/children, young adults and healthcare workers.****

Hello,
My name is Elena, I am 32 years old and I write you from Russian province. I work in library and I can use computer after work when possible. Our situation is terrible and I decided to write to you this letter in despair.
I has daughter Angelina, she have 8 years, her father abandoned us and we live with my mother.
Due to financial crisis recently my mother lost job (the market at she worked is now closed) and our situation became horrible.
Gas and electricity price is very expensive in our province and we can not use it to heat our home anymore.
The winter arriving and weather is very cold here already. We are worried and we do not know what we can to do.
The only possible way for us to heat our home is to use portable wood-fire oven which give heat from burning wood. We have many wood in our city and this oven will heat our home all winter for minimal charges.
Unfortunately we cannot to buy this oven in our market because it cost 8161 roubles (equival. of 191 EUR) and we cannot afford it because this amount is fortune for us.
May be you own any old portable cast iron oven and if you do not use it anymore, we will be very happy if you can donate it to us and organize delivery this oven to our address (190 km from Moscow). This ovens are different, they made from cast-iron and weight 100 kg.
I pray to hear from you soon.
Elena, my daughter and my mother.
