It has been super hot here the past couple of days. I haven’t been able to take the heat very well since I came back from the Persian Gulf. We have had a lot of storms the past few days. Last night they were pretty big. My son’s ball games were canceled for the day today which was nice because I got to sleep a little more. I lucked out. My jury duty was cancelled. All the cases for the month of June were settled so the jury pool for the entire month was released. I am back to working my night shift, which is much better than sitting at home waiting to see if I am going to be needed or not. Today is my Friday and it is the 3rd and final game of the wood bat tourny and my son’s team has lost the past two, although he hasn’t played much in them. I think only a couple of innings yesterday. Nehawka lost their first game of the wood bat tourny last night 9 to 1. My son didn’t play last night. Hopefully today he will play so they can win. Today was one of the few days in a long time I have not woken up with a headache. It was nice not to feel that pounding in my head.
