I was checking out some TVs today at both Comet and Currys and I couldn’t help but notice that the mid-range TVs all looked pretty poor. I checked the specs and in fairness they should have been looking pretty decent.

Wolfram Alpha: Knowledge engine?
It has recently been heralded as the next big thing in the search engine world.
Well although it has a different way of serving the results actually showing relevant information it is flawed still.
One of their examples to try is $250 +15%
Great, you get the answer $287.50 But the second you change the $ to a £ it fails, it doesn’t understand. Petty perhaps but when searching for info people want fast results from an engine that works.

Progressively it seems that my ability to mix band work is getting better and I’m finding it easier to make things sound the way I want them to. Practice really does in this case make perfect, I’m by no means a pro or have any delusions that this track is perfect but I hope that some day if I continue to put in the hours, I’ll be putting out commercial studio quality recordings. And maybe if the music industry hasn’t imploded by then I may be able to support myself on this kind of thing.
