This glamorous look is so now now now! It’s all about brights and the best thing is it’s all from the very affordable BHS.
The basic rule to apply when decorating is to stick to a maximum of two colours (you can use various shades of this colour within the scheme) and then introduce a third texture for the furniture. In this image they have used glass but white high gloss or modern dark wood furniture would have worked equally as well. You can buy all the items in store now.

As romantic as it may be receiving a bunch of flowers, what a downer when they start to wilt. Ever the pessimist I have stumbled on some beautifully crafted artificial flowers on the website “artificial florist. I have some in my own home and have used them to make festival hair bands, decorated my mirror and popped some in a vase. And you don’t have to worry about not receiving a lovely whiff in your nostrils; some come scented. Read Full Story
Well, I am now back from all of my shoots and feel exhausted, but happy that they all went well. First we worked on the TV commercial for CSL sofa’s. Some of the crew flew out to New York to film the city scenes and then the rest was shot in the Film Studio…sadly I didn’t go to New York :0(
Above is an image of one of the sets I designed for the commercial. The brief was to create a New York style apartment that was modern, light and airy. I then handed my sketches ove... Read Full Story
French trend agency Nelly Rodi have released their 10/11 Fashion trends for the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair. One of my favourite predictions is the ‘Southern Folk’ trend. The colour palette contains hits of deep red and moody purple’s grounded by the colours of the dry South American landscape – Think ochre, clay & cactus greens. As I walk past this shop every day on my way to work I eye up the displays. These two beautiful, limited edition cushions, designed by artists and illustrators can be used to accessorise and compliment a room. They would look fantastic on a light and neutral sofa.
The cushion cover is printed on one side using non toxic water based inks on to a super soft faux suede. I love the vibrancy of the colours and the artistic quality on an unusual surface. There is also something very satisfyin... Read Full Story
