Reposting my post from my other travel blog This seems to be a picture fit for a Seoul trip but you might be surprise to find good Korean restaurants in Beijing! We had to stop by and eat our Wudaokou Korean favorites for maybe the last time for a while…and as this topic title sounds..it is a binge!! Those small restaurants are wonderful side trips than making your trip in Beijing full of famous Peking duck dinners. I loved our exploration to the Korean town again. My favorite... Read Full Story

Retracing the steps that made me love Beijing while studying, I ought to have a closer look at their famous Hutong which we rarely visited. Hutong is much loved by photographers as well as tourists, We braved into the unknown and step into the realm of ultimate nostalgia. Beijing still has this kind of beauty within its cosmopolitan city. While wandering around, I was curious about those small little cups locals where eating. I followed the source and discovered that they are eating MILK... Read Full Story

Quite a homey desert place which has an unlikely location. I haven’t seen this place unless we were accompanied by my lovely local Cebuana Gale ! She just knows how to tickle our food senses! I imagine hanging out here and pretending to study while listening to emo music on a rainy day. If only this can be brought to Manila. It must surely fit the area of Fort however the price will surely jacked up! This heavenly place is called FUDGE . I want this chocolava for my desert everyday! If... Read Full Story

One of our goals when we visited Seoul was to explore all new exquisite taste. We had a hefty ramen dinner along the strip of Hongdae Seoul , and then we stumbled upon a quaint cafe called Snob . The name sounds intimidating and snotty however just wait till you get to enter their dessert realm. Their huge tarpaulin was really effective to draw us in. Seeing those lovely cakes parading at you will make you salivate at first sight. Being a foreigner around, we had to take a risk to... Read Full Story

I vividly recall my first experienc e in Tiaanmen Square with some regrets. I thought I could just get away with some thermals and jacket…as it turned out, my mind went blank, shaking vigorously to the beat of the first Chinese anthem of the morning. The sudden rush of Lei Shir classes (Chinese history) surged my mind, those flashbacks of vague list of names and events that I regret not understanding because I was too lazy to listen. You see, I used to study Chinese in school..all my 13... Read Full Story

I’m drooling…still wishing I can eat more! Oh yes, another good find in Singapore! After trying Haegan Daz and Ben & Jerry’s , I’m totally ecstatic on exploring non commercialized ice cream…with all my friends raving about a new ice cream place in Singapore, I dragged everybody to join me for my last dessert feast before going home. We took a bus from Orchard to this place which was vaguely familiar, I think I used to pass by this going to my friends’ condo. It was near a Mcdonald’s along... Read Full Story
Anthony Bourdain’s China experience

I was channel surfing the other night..I chance upon Anthony Bourdain (No Reservations) talking about Chinese heritage and culture. Chinese? Travel? …I worked my way back to that channel I love ( Travel and Living ). The first image that popped up was Liqun . I suddenly missed Beijing…the oily food, the unclean tea glasses and chopsticks I’ve encountered, Peking duck…*drools* Unpretentious, straight to the point…that’s what I love about this type of restaurants. Anthony was not his usual... Read Full Story

I get to have pictures this time!! I dragged my family to dine here at Quan Ju De and experience my favorite Peking duck around Beijing. I miss it so much that I stuffed more than 3 pieces of succulent Peking duck skin inside the wrap. Cucumber–check, Onion leeks-check, hoisin sauce-check, and sugar! The art of eating Peking duck, it was kind of fun after all. The corn coated with duck egg…yummy!! Though of course, you can get it cheaper else where, there’s this Guo Lin restaurant... Skyline and Desserts

Right now, I’m listening to one of my favorite Mae songs called Skyline Drive . It made me reminisced a beautiful skyline in Cebu, which my local friend brought us to see. The place is actually located at the top balcony of Marco Polo Plaza in Cebu called Blu bar and gril l. I don’t typically go in such a place like this, it feels so posh and romantic, kind of like a date place you bring a fiance up for a proposal. Well, something fancy for once wouldn’t hurt. I grabbed the menu, scanned... Read Full Story
