Work - Break - Down Structure

PSS establishes a work-break-down organization as a matrix structure composed of objects and elements. The objects are divided into project groups and in departments. It may also be subdivided into sub-projects, sections and sub-sections. Thus, the work-break-down structure all in all contains six hierarchical levels.

The second part of the work-break-down structure is a primary structure which contains option of different standard work packages, work items or elements. This structure is made up to 3 hierarchical levels, each level divided into two sub-levels, thus, making it six. These Standard structures are made available to the user and can be described and altered whenever necessary.

All reports can be selected based on the work-break-down structure.

Special fields in the forms and reports of the current position in the Work - Break - Down Structure are marked.

The modules about cost, budget, contract, variation orders and invoices which contain unique references to the work-break-down structure to permit evaluations on each level of the WBS is also made available.

The Contract Management and Claim Management takes note the chances to go into contract risks (expected variation orders, variation of quantities, claims at hand, assessment of excluded risks) which will be summed together through the commitment values so it can be alerted on time of a possible over costing.
