High gas prices causing Americans painfully giving up on SUVs and Trucks

It was announced yesterday that Americans are now truly giving up on their love affair with their large trucks and SUV's, painfully. It is hard for most Americans that loved those large SUVs to go to a small fuel efficient car.
Those SUVs would withstand the power to haul boats, campers and all the play toys that Americans enjoy so much. Americans love those 4X4, 4 wheel drives, to go off road play or just to look cool. Americans love the 4 wheel drive in the snow to go skiing or just to be "safe" with the false security of 4 wheel drive in the snow. But it sure looks cool...
Now it is over and the SUV chapter in history is coming to a quick close.
Americans are realizing that the soaring crude oil and gas prices bottom is going to drop, the ceiling seems infinitely high!
No one is buying SUVs, dealers are not giving the best value in trade ins or not even accepting SUVs as trade ins at all!
"The average wholesale price of used, large SUVs fell 24 percent last month. Prices for used pickup trucks were down 21 percent in May, according to Manheim, a firm that provides auction pricing benchmarks for dealers."
"Sales in the world's single largest market for new cars and trucks are expected to drop to about 15 million units in 2008, down from 16.1 million for 2007. Few see a recovery in 2009."

It seems bleak...
Since dealers are not accepting trade-ins and the value of the SUVs is dropping at an alarming rate. Why try to sell?
Why not modify your car to convert water into brown's gas (a more efficient and cleaner fuel) to supplement and double the life of gas!
Instead 15 - 17 gallons per mile on your SUV, why not see 35 - 40 gallons per mile. It isn't the best fuel efficient car in the world but it sure beats the 15 - 17 gallons per mile rate!
