Proper education for divers

Whether you’re going for your first dive or your fifteenth, it’s never too late to learn from a professional. Being underwater is serious; we’re out of our element and the only way we can get back into our element and die of natural causes is through training.Water is much better at pulling the heat away from your body than air is.

Diving schools, for the most part, all offer lessons on the basics. After this, schools tend to specialize.

Scuba Schools International (SSI) offers three separate beginner’s classes, as well as many of the types of classes mentioned above. Persons 15 years and older can be fully certified to scuba dive on open water. Younger children can receive a more restrictive junior certification.

No doubt you’ll also learn about all the rules and regulations such as these ones:

Scuba diving is permitted only in groups of two or more divers. An additional diver or competent diver-tender shall remain above water at all times.[1]

Scuba diving is permitted when the diver plainly marks the area in which he is operating with suitable flags or floats. Swimming is allowed in the swim area at your own risk.[2]
