Thought I would share regarding lowering LDL:Question:My husband has 121 LDL and 164 Triglycerides although total cholesterol is 199. LDL/HDL ratio is 2.7. If he changes his diet to more fiber rich foods, how quickly can he lower his high numbers? Well, so far the average (for the group of people I know personally) weight loss is 1.5 lbs per week. Pretty good....us dietitians like slow gradual weight loss.
