A Promise is a Promise
As some of you know, yesterday—in the early morning hours—I was visited by the ‘kidney stone fairly.’ Unlike other fairies (tooth fairy for example) I didn’t get any cash, all I got was a tiny, jagged edged, rock!
Well, that’s when I remembered that I promised my two kids, Nathan 12 and Juliana 10 that we would all sleep out in the treehouse.
No, I’m not kidding.
I made a lame attempt to mention the rain and adverse conditions, but they quickly countered by showering me (and their grandpa in absentia) with complements on how well built the thing was. They then added a reminder that they had no school the next day. Who can argue with that?
So we watched a movie and camped out in the driving rain and gale force winds.
They both said it was one of the best nights of their lives!
