Diet and exercising are ways that we can slow down the process of our senses and reaction deteriorating  as we grow older. As you get older diet becomes very important, and helps to maintain bone and muscle strength. Water in the body also decreases, so drinking two to three liters of water a day will benefit your body. Eating an abundant amount fresh fruits and vegetables become very important as we grow older because of their nutrient content. Exercising at least a half hour a day by walking, cycling, or swimming will keep your aging body in shape. Also, incorporating some strength training will also help. Nutritional supplements are a good source of nutrients that can help slow down the aging process. Always consult your doctor before instituting supplements into your diet. Here are a few supplements that can help.

Phosphatidylserine: this is a phosoloid which is one of the natural fat-like substances that is found in all cell membranes. This can aid in learning, mood, memory, and concentration.

Ginko Biloba: this is an herbal medicine extracted from Maidenhair, one of the oldest existing plant species in the world. This herb can help off-set the memory loss from aging, and is also great for the body's circulation.

Gingseng: this is a longevity-promoting herb that is referred to as the "root of life". It has been used for psychiatric and nuerological conditions, also enhancing vitality.
