SCRIBERE FAV: Friday the 13th

How I found out about the movie was odd in itself, well, at least it was to me. I powered up my XBOX 360, logged on to XBOXLIVE and was about to play Gears of War 2 and I saw an advertisement for the 13 Days of Gears accompanied by the image of a familiar hockey mask.

Now, lets get something straight. It may not be logical or even reasonable but although I am a fan of the Jason franchise, as I've stated before I only like Friday the 13th 1, 2, 3 and 4 The Final Chapter. Why you might ask? Because it's the FINAL CHAPTER, that's why! Parts 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and etc… is just a bit ridiculous don't you think?

Why do I cut it off at part 4? Well because at the end of part four Corry Hames chopped Jason's head into little itty bitty pieces. Then in part five his head is mysteriously intact. Now, I know that through parts 2-4 Jason has been stabbed, chopped in the head with a axe and blah, blah, blah, and he managed to keep coming back every time but, I just can't get passed his chopped up head in part four. Believe me, I've tried and I just can't do it. I have a limit on certain things.

Just like Halloween, the best parts are 1 and 2. At the end of part two, Jamie Lee Curtis shot him in the eyes  and he burn to death. How the hell does he come back from that? Yes, I know the doctor shot him six time, I can deal with him getting up after that. I just can't get passed him come back after being shot in the eyes and being burned up. I just can't do it.

Anyway, this Friday the 13th is supposed to be a re-imagining/remake and I can deal with that idea, at least it's not another sequel. Also the directors of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is directing this one and they did an alright job on that film so I am interested to see their rendition of my favorite tank-like psycho killer.
