Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving from SF Indie Fashion. San Francisco is top on our list of things we’re thankful for today. Thanks so much for reading and helping this little project grow over the last four years. We hope you’re having a fabulous day, whether you’re on the road to grandmother’s house or already scooting your chair a little closer to the table. We’re off to make pies. It’s chocolate pecan vs. pumpkin. Who will win? We’ll let ya know. Read Full Story
Petal to the Metal: Make Believe at Tedda Hughes
Resin roses meet chunky gold chain in the neckpieces and brooches of Sydney-based and Tokyo-influenced design duo Make Believe, whose work we hear is now exclusively available in the good ‘ole US of A at Russian Hill boutique Tedda Hughes. At upwards of $250 a pop, these adornments aren’t cheap, but their intricate construction and 80’s rapper-meets-Harajuku Lolita ethos make us stop and stare – in a good way. No shrinking violets here. Another place you’ll f... Read Full Story

Resin Ring Bling: Colors by Liza
These inexpensive adjustable disc rings from Colors by Liza caught our eye at last week’s Fashion Feud event (in case you haven’t heard, we’re suckers for sparkly objects). An artist based in San Francisco, Liza uses different-textured resins and mixed media on the cheerfully-hued business card compacts, pill boxes, clutch purses, iPod armor and cigarette cases she creates in her SoMa studio. The overall effect is unabashedly crafty, yes, but also girlishly cute and gift-a... Read Full Story

A Cheer for Cashmere: Souchi at Metier
Designer Suzi Johnson may currently call Portland home, but she made the first sweater in what would become the coveted Souchi collection in San Francisco, so we’ll happily still claim her as our own. Best known for impossibly soft cashmere sweaters and hand-crafted knits, Johnson brings Souchi back to the City by the Bay this weekend for a trunk show at Metier.
