Healthcare Insurance
I want to know: When did having health care insurance in America become a right? Moreover, why is it, in certain peoples beliefs, such a right that I should be forced to have health insurance or worse, if I own a company (which I do) that I should be forced to provide healthcare insurance for my employees? From my understanding and reading of the Constitution of the United States of America there is no such provision or mandate. But, most liberals (Democrats or what I should say is Socialists)... Read Full Story

A Moment In Time
It is amazing when you can capture an image that tells a story. A photo of a moment in time. The thousand words that it speaks. All of this through the eye of the person behind the lens. The photo above is of a run down old shack near my home. At the bottom of the shack there are a couple of boards missing and the contents available for all to see - that is for those who are willing to wade through the bushes to satisfy curiosity. The old jug tells of an era gone past. Is it a moon-shiners jug?... Read Full Story
Todays Real Estate
As I was checking my stock portfolio I saw a news story about the decline in real estate prices. So I reviewed some data in the Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller home price index - while the overall news on the surface seems bleak it actually provides some relief. Home prices have retreated but only to those of about 2 -1/2 years ago. While no one likes to see a decline in the value of their home this is really just a settling of the market.Lenders would be wise to work with borrowers to... Read Full Story
