Coffee is good for you!
I know this isn't exactly sleeve gastrectomy related, but if you've been reading for a while you know I'm coffee obsessed. I used to like coffee, but since my vsg I LOVE coffee. And now I have a reason to say it's good for me, a major medical journal says so. What more could a girl want? Somehow I missed the article when it was published back in June, but I came across it today. I look around Read Full Story
Do you like fudgesicles?
I know I was just complaining about chocolate protein bars in my last post and how I'm tired of chocolate.  But it's a whole new ball game when it's frozen! At least, that's my story.  Everyone over on Obesity Help has been experimenting with making protein ice cream this summer. Basically you make a protein drink, add a few other ingredients and freeze in one of those little ice cream makers. I Read Full Story
A protein bar I like!
Since having my VSG I've tried to be good about eating protein. All the experts say it's important to weight loss and to maintaining your loss. At first I used a lot of protein bars when I wanted a snack or an easy meal. But I've gotten tire of most of them. They all seem to be chocolate and a little too sweet. I never thought I'd get tired of chocolate, but it's true.  Today I was at CVS Read Full Story

Sounds like medieval torture but...
My dh's years of abusing his body lifting, carrying and building things have decided it's payback time. He now has a herniated disk and it's pressing on the sciatic nerve. It hurts all the way down his leg. He was referred to a pain clinic and they did shots into his spine but it didn't help. They said his next step was surgery.
