When someone links to your WordPress blog, a pingback/trackback type of comment shows up in your comment list for that post. The same type of pingback comment is created when you link to your own content. I like my comment streams to be clean and clear, so I’m constantly deleting the pingbacks as soon as they’re created. For a long time, my ‘need to know’ was the driving force behind everything I did, because the more I knew -> the less surprises there were -> the more secure I felt, in general -> the happier I was.
