Lemongrass at Sokha Resort Sihanoukville
(from the forums)
I have eaten here a few times, the biggest problem is finding it !!! You can get a shuttle bus from the main part of the hotel and its a bout 500mtrs from the main entrance.
I will comment on my last visit there…1st Aug.2008
I arrived on my trusty (sic) Honda Dream and not another bike there !!! However I was greeted warmly and made our way to an ocean side table. The waves rock up against the beach below and that is the music…romantic !
Service was Kymer style…standing there while you go through the menu …Aghhhhh, it puts a little pressure to order a little too quickly for me. I wanted to look at what fresh fish they had ( each time) and they obliged without fuss. Going past the kitchens…everything I saw was in good order.
I had a Fish Bisque to start …deep and full of flavour..$5.00, also Lobster 3 Tails (300grms ..$12.00) and Saute Potato ($3.00 ). You can have them cooked whatever way you want..boiled …fried..grilled
I had mine grilled…smokey flavour..just what wanted and not dry. My partner had a Bean Curd dish with Veggies ( $5.00). The dishes were great but the service can wain…its slow
We had a local water ( $1.50 ) and a bottle of House Chenin Blanc (Californian)..$12.00
I would say if you like your food and can spend a little time waiting for it..
Its a good place…drink comes out quickly
VAT is at 10% and maybe a tip if you got good service !!
My above meal cost $46.00 including gratuties…
Well worth it if your a foodie…
