The New Most Annoying Commercial Award

Wow, I have been following commercials and I especially like the ones that are in a series. (ie. freecreditreport.com, Jimmy Dean breakfast, the Verizon guy, Howie Long for Chevy Trucks) I also revel in bad commercials. I love local car commercials, monster truck show ads and the like. But I am also annoyed by some commercials as being so bad that they have no potential for humor.

I had been considering the new Dial cup ads that feature their new at-home coffee cups that are like ones you get from a coffee shop. The husband is off to work and does a shoulder dance with all that he meets. This commercial has no soul and was filmed with androids apparently. Very bad.

But tonight I have been exposed to something that makes me want to fill my ears with cement and duct tape my eyes shut. Comcast cable has unveiled their new comcasttown ads. Monotone chant style singing, weird graphics and a horror show like style make this a total disaster. It should be light and cute but it comes across as creepy and unsettling.
