This Mornings Excitement
We here in east central Indiana had a little action this morning a little after 11:00 am.  A couple of State Air National Guard F16s were in hot pursuit of a small private plane heading in a southeasterly fashion when it’s pilot did not respond to NORAD.  Folks, you MUST respond to NORAD or you will be intercepted!  However, the pilot apparently suffered hypoxia or some other medical affliction and was ruled out as being a terrorist.  The plane crashed a few miles east of here (Muncie... Dell to Acquire Perot Systems
Dell will acquire Perot Systems over the next 6 months for somewhere in the neighborhood of $3.9 billion, plus or minus a few million. Dell’s intent is to become involved with the IT service industry and capitalize on Perot’s Health Care contracts. Visit my post on my technical weblog at http://stephendowell.wordpress.com/2009/09/22/dell-to-acquire-perot-systems/ for additional comments. Steve D. Read Full Story
Dell to acquire Perot Systems
It doesn’t seem that long ago that Ross Perot was the head honcho in the headquarters that his new office would look down upon.  That was EDS of course. EDS has since moved to Plano, TX, as has Perot. Today I saw that Dell will shell out an estimated 3.9 billion U.S. for Perot Systems, mainly because of interests in the health care sector as well as to gain a foot-hold into the Information Technologies services market. This is a large event in the IT world and the repercussions should ... Read Full Story
Oh Oh! The Big 5 & 0!
I finally surpassed the half century mark and after three days of recuperation, still don’t feel less than a century and a half old. Probable the combination of the Holiday and the milestone had a great deal to do with that. The year I was born, Labor Day was my Birthday. I really feel quite sure that another half century will not be in store for me, but, who knows? Maybe I’ll never die, just fade into the blogosphere. Steve D. Read Full Story
Our New President!
I captured the CNN eulogy by our President Obama to the Kennedy family today. The most stunning oration ever put together in my lifetime! We have a solid winner with our new president, and even though I was brought up as a Republican, it doesn’t matter… We are all in this together. The multiple party system has it advantages. Hat’s off to our leader! Steve D. Read Full Story

Scotland @)#F($d Up!
I cringe when I see the reception of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi disboarding Qaddafi's self-appointed aircraft in Libya. What where the Scots thinking? Even if the man does have a "terminal condition", for crying out loud we are all terminal! The fact that this man has this "terminal condition" serves only to justify his cause of turning himself into an anti-west human bomb and taking out more "bonus" lives. Perhaps, the best thing that could happen next would be for Abdelbaset Ali Moh... Read Full Story
Scotland releases Lockerbie Terrorist to Libyan Grand Reception Whats Up With That
Who would believe that our own ally would release one of the most diabolical terrorists of our time? Because of a "terminal condition"?  Hell, we're all "terminal"! The fact that this maggot is "terminal" also means that it is more likely to go for a "bonus" round being a short timer anyway.Disgusted and appalled!Steve D. Read Full Story
Philosophy
A topic such as “Philosophy” has always seemed to me another secondary subject requiring immersion into meaningless, tedious & monotonous tasks of learning! At least, from the time that I realized what the definition of “philosophy” was, I have felt that way. As I ripen with years, and after many readings upon which hover around “philosophy”, a realization arises within that, perhaps, “philosophy” is not a secondary “topic”, ye... Read Full Story
