Climate Change

Climate change has been having dramatic effects on weather and weather systems across the world.

As divers we tend to be more acutely tuned to environmental impact than a lot of people.  We see the effects first hand with increased plankton blooms affecting visibility and increased bouts of bad weather due to changes in the path of the jet stream across the Atlantic.

The World Wide Fund for Nature, WWF, has been tracking these changes through their Climate Witness program.  Take a look at their web site for more details.

They have also issues a number of videos and audio slide shows telling the stories of how the changes in climate have affected and changed people across the world and what people are doing to get involved.
