Pink Mystery Flower! With update below!
This pretty flower stands about 3' tall in big bunches. Last year the deer devoured all the buds and I never got to see the blossoms. Now, it's protected behind fencing and - wow!
It has a really cheerful bright color splashed with tie-dye white. Can you help me identify it?

From Wikipedia: Dianthus barbatus (Sweet William), a species of Dianthus native to the mountains of southern Europe from the Pyrenees east to the Carpathians and the Balkans, with a variety disjunct in northeastern China, Korea, and southeasternmost Russia.
Thank you so much folks, I am awestruck at how great it is to put a question out there and get such great answers! I cut some of these flowers and arranged them with some yarrow and salal for a great bouquet that shows no signs of fading yet. So I know Sweet William makes a great cut flower as well as a sweet hit of color out in the garden. I'll be dividing and distributing this big clump so I can enjoy it even more next year.
