craigslist scammers rile me all kinds of up.

Lately, I've been selling some old stuff on Craigslist. It's kind of like a garage sale without half of the hassle.  I take the time to photograph, describe, list, etc. and when someone contacts me, I send them on to Jamin. He arranges the meeting with the goods. That way, if someone tries to haggle us, I don't have to deal with them.  I'm also not desperate to sell. It's kind of like fishing. I just like to list things and see if we actually get a bite. We have a philosophy that the... Read Full Story

Emerson spotted it three days before her birthday, as we were traipsing through Target. There I was, all three children in tow, attempting to pick up some diapers. Emmy was being obstinate as she is now in her full-fledged no buggies stage, and she trailed, as strong willed as ever, just a few feet behind. After a small amount of begging from Aiden, I caved and took him over to the toy section, to see if there were any goodies he might be interested in purchasing.  He has now saved up a... The weather last Friday, was absolutely perfect for the zoo. So we decided to do what any auspicious parents/turned zoo members would do and, packing up the kids, headed out to spend some valuable family time together. The sun was out. It almost dared to be spring-like. The air, ripe with animal scents, had a slight chill, but only when riding on the train. Aiden absolutely loves taking it all in…gazing thoughtfully at one exhibit and then bolting to the next, coaxing us all to follow... Read Full Story

Last call: enter my giveaway here! Winner announced tomorrow-thanks for playing and good luck! I’m kind of infamous in my family, for my untimely nighttime encounters. From childhood to the present state of my sleeping habits, I have the unfortunate combination of extremely vivid dreams and an apparent lack of the sleep hormone that is released during the REM cycle that would normally keep me from acting out said realistic nighttime visions. In my childhood/teenage years, I was known as... Read Full Story

It feels good to be back.  I'm still not finished uploading all my base product, and I'll still be creating more, but... Oprah. The Dentist. and Aiden. All in a nutshell. Oprah: So I just have to address her announcement, even though I’m about a month shy. I can’t let it slide by without so much as an acknowledgement. As much as I have referenced her on here and in real life, I may as well be the Julie & Julia project. (the soooo pathetically not famous I’m seriously stalking you because I want to be on your show version.) I’m a bit heartbroken, not for her sake, but for mine. She is at the top of my Tivo... 1. Sometimes* I sleep in.** And by sleeping in, I mean lie-in-the-bed-til-eight-o’-clock-while- I-let-Jamin-handle-Aiden-and-Emerson-sleeping-in. Pause: Before the angry mobs of early rising moms everywhere start in on me, it’s a given that I’ve earned it, and this WILL NOT last forever…So side with me, please. I think a lot of it has to do with the newborn. {He has a name, but sometimes I prefer to call him “that kid” or “your other son”. Yesterday, when leaving the house and nearly... Read Full Story

Whoever invented the pre lit Christmas tree, with the idea that one bulb blows, and the entire section of said tree will consequentially go out as well...so that I may sit for hours on end, trying to locate the singular culprit til I'm permanently cross-eyed, looking at my tree, SEARCHING... Drooling out of one side of my mouth as I constantly tilt my head sideways attempting to replace the bulb, eventually giving up, and turning the bad section to the WALL so no one will see after I have...
