2009 Black Marriage Day

We are honoring Black Marriage Day on Sunday, March 22, 2009.

Here are some ideas to help you celebrate and promote this special day.

Renew Wedding Vows
Couples nationwide will renew their wedding vows on Black Marriage Day. As a gift to the bride and groom, present them with a wedding gift basket. This is a great way to make the occasion memorable.

Community Celebration
Take a lesson from President Obama. If you are a Community Organizer, group or organization, host a Black Marriage Day event. Express your appreciation to the guest speaker of your event by giving them a "Thank You" gift basket.

Youth Events
Don't forget the kids. Offer youth workshops or have youth Sunday at your church. At the end of the service, celebrate with the kids. Give them goodie gift bags to take home.

Keep spreading the Word! Married life is not boring. People in successful marriages accumulate greater wealth than single people. And they live longer healthier lives.
