Palin huge step backward

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin first she announced she would not seek a second term. This was given as we new she was throwing her hat in the ring for 2012. The surprise was the idea she would be lame duck and therefore she is going to resign instead of finishing out the term. We know she has a seven million dollar book deal. We are not sure if there is scandal on the horizon she wants to avoid. We do not know if it was tough to govern with national media watching your every move. We here believe that quitting and stepping down is never the response people look for in a leader. Walking away from the very people who gave you their vote and trust is a slap in the face. She is hot right now and can do a lot more for the Republican efforts in all 50 states then running the day to day in Alaska. If the end game goal was a serious run at the Whitehouse in 2012, this is a huge step backward. She will be hammered for walking away; if Alaska as a state declines in area she will surely be blamed as she left them in need. Fox Sunday guests Mike Huckabee and Karl Rove seemed to think it was not the best idea and the architect Rove both agreed this very risky strategy. We do not like the move for whatever reason and in the long run it will only hurt her as a candidate and keep her further from the Whitehouse then closer.
