Mos Def Will Release ‘The Ecstatic’

Rapper, actor and all round nice guy, Mos Def, has announced plans of his new album ‘The Ecstatic’. Set for a June 30th release.

So far little is know about the album accept for confirmed producers J Dilla, Kanye West, Chad Hugo (from The Neptunes) and Oh No. It’s also set to feature vocal collaborations with Slick Rick and Talib Kweli.

So will it be any good? Guess we’ll have to wait. It did make our Top 10 Album List for 2009 however, and if you can’t remember rocking back to “Sex, Love and Money” well then….. I guess you need to get out more. Joke. Fact is Mos Def is a pioneer in Hip-Hop. He always stays out of the lime light and never gets much support from the Major Labels or Radio Stations, fact is however, he is always the New York MC who old enough to know what’s what and how to present himself in a correct manor. Whether the radio’s or labels let us hear it, I’ll guess we’ll have to wait.
