Bond themes are always a mixed bag. Generally, the best songs don't try too hard to channel the story and essence of the films into 3 minutes. I'm not even going to talk about some of the worst.

Casino Royale was as great a reinvention as the Bond series could hope for. Chris Cornell also provided his pipes for the theme tune, a more amplified tune than was expected. And yet, as much as I loved 'You Know My Name', its successor composition absolutely trounces it in terms of musicality. The official theme tune to 'Quantum Of Solace', 'Another Way To Die' was penned by Jack White, drafted in to produce something suitably modern, with vocals from Alicia Keys.

'Another Way To Die' is extremely varied, and the main concept involves Jack exchanging verses with Alicia. He was a genius choice- as much for his numerous ideas as his vocals, and whilst Amy Winehouse will eventually take her turn, Alicia is a much safer choice at this point in time. Still, it's a tough call, and I imagine the producer's will struggle to create a credit's sequence that fits with the tune.

The pre-requisites are all there (horns, harmonies and the rest), and yet, I feel this is more than a Bond tune. We must, of course, wait for the final product to see. I could be pleasantly surprised by a brooding credits sequence.
