Following the iPhone 3.0 software released just about two weeks ago, Apple has recently pushed out its iPhone 3.1 software with the accompanying SDK for developers. The update improves video editing, app integration and extra speed boosts as well as some minor tweaks.

Apple released its new iPhone 3GS in Japan on Friday. According to the Asahi Shimbun, more than 200 people lined up at Softbank Mobile Corp.’s Omotesando store in Tokyo.
The Japan’s launch is a week after Apple introduced the new iPhone in the United States and Europe. It’s reported more than 1 million units have been sold in three days. Softbank, the country’s third largest wireless carrier, is the country’s sole distributor for iPhone.

Thanks to an unaddressed security flaw, the iPhone Dev Team have announced that they will soon update their ultrasn0w unlocking tool to work on the iPhone 3GS. The exploit, known as 24Kpwn, was first discovered in the iPod touch 2G, and used in the redsn0w tool to jailbreak that PMP.
