OGDEN — A car was totaled by an incoming FrontRunner train when the vehicle accidentally drove onto the tracks instead of the road Monday evening, UTA officials said.
The 62-year-old driver was traveling west on 2nd Street when he tried to make a right turn onto 530 West, but instead turned onto the rails. About 30 feet down the track, the vehicle became high-centered, and the driver exited to call police, said Utah Transit Authority spokesman Gerry Carpenter.

CEDAR CITY — An Alabama semitruck driver was killed after the vehicle slid off the road and crashed down a nearly 400-foot ravine Monday afternoon.
The westbound semi was transporting coils of steel along state Road 14 near Cedar City about 2 p.m. when the driver apparently lost control, went off the road and then went up and over the barrier, rolling down the ravine, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Cameron Roden.
