Our Heart Reveals Our True Passions

What is your heart revealing about your passions? It's not even like we have to try to get them in there ... they just are! But not only are they in there ... something is making them grow. They are being nurtured by a source. What's your source? It doesn't matter if our passions are good or bad the fact of the matter is this ... the fruits of it will show up in our lives in an outward expression. Whether it be desires ... likes ... dislikes ... habits ... fantasies ... whatever the case may be? Rest assured they will emerge.

That's why it's so vital to do some honest to goodness inventory on our lives. Speaking from a personal perspective, I can tell you that I've had to purge myself many times from the things that were hindering me instead of helping me. Many of us struggle with this. Our flesh loves to cling to things that are not in any way --shape or form of godliness. Remember ... the Bible tells us that godliness with contentment is great gain (I Tim. 6:6) . If we drop down to verse eleven we will be exhorted on what things we absolutely should follow after:

• Righteousness
• Godliness
• Faith
• Love
• Patience
• Meekness

So the question is this. What is our hearts revealing to us? Set aside time to do an inventory and you'll be surprised at what you'll find.
