The Golden Egg

One Easter day, rainbows covered every inch of the sky and, all of a sudden, it started raining Easter eggs. Every single one was different with different tastes, colors, and patterns. Nobody new why it rained Easter eggs and, ever since that day it rained Easter eggs. Not one person had ever found two Easter eggs that were exactly the same.

So one day, a boy was trotting in the woods trying to find the perfect Easter egg for him.
There were thousands of Easter eggs but none of them were satisfying to him. So as he was trotting in the woods he lost track of time and was in a part of the woods nobody had ever been before. Then he thought if nobody has been here before then there are Easter eggs here that haven’t been discovered. But he didn’t see one. Not in the trees, in the bushes, or even on the ground. He trotted a little further, and entered a spot were the sun poured through the trees.

As he passed through, something caught his eye on the side. He turned his head to see a gold
glimmering Easter egg, and, as he walked up to it he saw it was laying on a dandelion. He picked it up admiring it. Then he thought if it had been discovered yet. So he ran home and picked up the world wide discovered Easter egg book. But this was no ordinary book. Every day more and more Easter eggs get discovered and are sent to that book and many others, so it collects more and more.

The boy searched the whole book but no sign of it. So he thought great! Now he could be the
first to discover it and put it in the book. But then he thought to himself if I put it in the book every body would want it. So instead he hid it in a small box all the way in the back of his closet. Every day he would come from school and admire it. But then one day he knew that he had never tasted it. So he took a little nibble. It tasted like nothing he had ever tasted before and he knew every flavor there was. But this one was new, he didn’t recognize the taste. It was a new flavor. It was so good, so he ate the whole thing. But after, he was sad because he didn’t mean to eat it. So he ran all the way to the spot were he found it, and searched every inch of the place but could not find another one. So he dedicated his life to finding another one and being the first to find two Easter eggs the same.
