Microsoft is still after Yahoo?
Looks like Yahoo is still trying to get away from Microsoft and Icahn and rejected their new offer. This time Microsoft proposed to pay $1billion upfront for Yahoo’s search assets, which is funny as Yahoo is a huge company with multiple valuable assets, where search engine is just a small part of it. This time Yahoo was offered a 48 hours to respond, but Microsoft and Icahn have been rejected almost immediately::)). As a part of the proposal, Microsoft wanted to enter into an exclusive search ad agreement with Yahoo for the next 5 years. It would pay Yahoo at least $2.3 billion. But Yahoo still says this is below its own revenue estimates and that traffic acquisition costs is below market. Something tells me, that this game is not over yet and this Saturday’s night rejection was not the last one. What do you think guys?
