Opening a new category: Digital Business World!
I finally decided to open a new category and had a very hard time choosing the name. Thanks to Entrecard’s and LinkedIn’s communities - I’ve got several absolutely beautiful names to choose from, take a look:
1. Money Hounds
2. Digital Business World - that’s the ONE!
3. Blogpreneurs
4. The Online Interviews
5. Vision 2.0
6. Forward 2.0
7. Featured People
8. Interviews
9. Money Talk
and many others
I am going to publish interviews with interesting people that I meet online very often, some of them are bloggers, some are ecommerce gurus, but they all have one thing in common - they can think out of the box! If you think, you are the one, feel free to email me and I will be happy to “feature” you!
I am starting with category by publishing my short online interview with David Innes Braybrooke.
If you are a Digital Point forum member, then you know this guy as “Fatherspirit”. His last post “Two novel ways I am marketing my website” is still on top and has reached 956 views already. He’s wearing many heats: an Internet marketer, freelance writer&poet, and world famous weblogger from Western Australia - he had the #1 globally ranked blog on Icon.
“Dave, how did you come up with your 2 “novel” ways?
Dave: I came up with my novel ways to promote my website by reading through some google articles on same. The second idea, posting advertisements with rip-off URL tabs, was something I observed people doing when I was younger. Instead of rip-off tab URL’s, they were writing phone numbers. I decided to put a new twist on the topic!
For those who doesn’t know what are these “novel” ways:
“When I Go For My Daily Walk At The Beach I Write My Site’s Url In The Sand Every 100 Meters Or So!
I Try To Write It Above The Tide Line, But Even If There Is A King Tide Overnight, I’m Back The Next Day To Write More Free Ads! I Know That People Don’t Usually Carry A Pad And Pen With Them While At The Beach But I Repeat The Ad Often Enough For Them To Learn By Rote!
Of Course, It Helps To Write On A Beach That Is Visited Quite A Lot!
(2) I Draw Up An Ad For My Website (And Make Multiple Photocopies) And Write The Site’s URL Clearly On The Ad. Then I Write The URl Sideways About 11 or 12 Times At The Bottom Of The Ad And Make Cuts Between Each URL So That People Can Rip Them Off To Take Home, (Usually, Phone Numbers Are Written For The Ripped-Off Tabs But I Thought Why Not URL’s!?
“One of the most important part for everyone who is in a business, is the ability to handle stress. How and what do you do to handle stressful situations?”
Dave: I handle stress remarkably well really! As a teenager I spent time in an institution for troubled youths and learn a lot of valuable techniques in order to deal with difficult times!
