NEW KRIS ALLEN VIDEO
AMERICAN IDOL-winner Kris Allen's first video from his upcoming self-titled debut album premiered today, and we're thinking it's just okay.  Isn't the first release from a new album usually the best track?  If this is as good as it gets, we're not impressed.  He's gonna have to take his shirt off or something for his second video to get us interested again if the quality of the music doesn't pick up.  Listen to "Live Like We're Dying" and judge for yourself.  Read Full Story

GLEE WITHDRAWAL
Imagine a coked-out hooker desperate for her next fix . . . that's kinda how we're feeling right now after two consecutive weeks of no GLEE on Wednesday nights.  If it weren't for the GLEE playlist on my iPod, we'd totally be tweaking by now.  Apparently we aren't alone . . . theTVaddict.com is now offering up the following preview of next week's episode which is reported to be "hands down the best episode to date." Thanks to the seemingly never-ending World Series, tonight has FOX once aga... Read Full Story
FACEBOOK FAIL
I get really annoyed by those pesky email forwards. Everything from dirty jokes, political humor and religious stuff. Nine times out of ten I just delete without even reading. Today, however, I received a forward from my cousin Sheri that was full of these Facebook fails. The title of the email, "Failing at Facebook", caught my attention and quickly intrigued me. What I found after opening had me laughing out loud. One of the biggest problems with sites like Facebook, Twitter and any other ... Read Full Story
THOUGHTS & PRAYERS TO EVERYONE @ FORT HOOD
D & I extend our sincere thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the tragedy today @ Fort Hood.  We have some very dear friends/family on post, included our beloved godson Elijah.  We're very happy to report that everyone we know is safe and sound.  The base was on lockdown the last we heard, and they've had phone issues since the tragedy began, so details are still sketchy and they are having trouble communicating even with one another.  Our hearts go out to those who have lost lo... HAPPY 40TH 'SESAME STREET'
As a child, one of my favorite television programs was SEASAME STREET. To promote the PBS program's impending 40th season, Big Bird flew over to JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE. Big Bird tackled everything from which First Lady was his favorite, the emotional state of Snuffaluffagus and the fact that the six-year-old bird has been homeless for the past 40 years. One thing that Kimmel didn't ask was that age-old-question of Bert and Ernie's sexuality. Maybe next time. Clips from the appearance after the jum... Read Full Story
NEW "DREAMGIRLS" CAST APPEAR ON WEDNESDAY'S "WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW"
Yesterday was my "weekend" and I spent it being lazy and catching up on daytime television. To my surprise, the new touring cast of the much anticipated (to Warren and I anyway) DREAMGIRLS made an appearance on the WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW. AMERICAN IDOL alum Syesha Mercado (Deena), and newcomers Moya Angela (Effie) and Adrienne Warren (Lorrell) opened Wednesday's show with a quick discussion of the forthcoming national tour, which opens this Saturday at Harlem's historic Appolo Theater, followed ... AUSTIN OUT YOUTH OFFICE BURGLARIZED
Sad news from back in Austin.  Our old home town's Out Youth office experienced a break-in/burglary on Halloween.  While there is no indication that Saturday's crime was motivated by anything more than greed and mischief, the organization is now without two computers from their cyber center, a large flat-screen TV, and a Play Station. If you would like to help replace the stolen items and/or cover the costs of the repairs to the center's broken windows, you can click here to donate.   Read Full Story
