Once again we are privileged to be treated to an all Williams Wimbledon grand slam tennis final. Dad Richard won't be around. He is flying back home since he cannot bear to watch both sisters play in the finals. They are both headed for the ladies doubles sem-finals also and have a strong chance at winning that title. Check out the prize money list below.
AP reports:
"Richard Williams said Serena persuaded him to stick around for that doubles match. But he'll get on a plane Saturday, mak... Read Full Story

Why are all of these other people coming out of the woodwo... Read Full Story

The lone survivor, a teen named Bahia Bakari was ejected from a plane into the Indian Ocean en route to France. So far, lately, we have had two planes crash which were headed to France. Imagine falling out of the sky, barely able to swim, and hearing voices of people taking their last breath in the Indian Ocean. If she could hear people talking: Imagine others who survived and drowned, simply, because they could not swim. Truly a miracle.

While we're trying to decide tough life altering decisions such as whether we want fries to go with our shake or which pair of shoes we should buy to match the clothes we just bought or whether you were upset because someone offended you, another brave American soldier has gone missing in Afghanistan. I like Karmen Michael's song called "Stimulus Package," because it is uplifting and inspirational. Love his voice! He is such a pretty guy with soft vibes.
His voice reminds my of cross between Stevie Wonder and Donnie Hathaway. I am definitely getting his CD.
Having a tough time? Help is on the way.

Teena Marie released her latest album entitled "Congo Square" on June 9th. I love her vocals on the tune "Marry Me." The lyrics I don't care for, but begging a man to marry me, somehow, just doesn't sit well with me...lol. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful illustration of her vocal jewels. She has a duet with Faith on the album. I peeked at some of the songs and the majority of them I like. She is one of the best R & B singers of recording history. Definitely, some baby making tunes on t... Read Full Story
The U.S. Senate unanimously to apologize for slavery. Is this the back door to reparations?
I don't know about reparations, but a good reparation would be to have the subject of slavery included in all school history curriculum, beginning at the 6th grade. And I am talking about real details, actual accounts. Not watered down, politically correct, we don't want to offend anyone versions.
Here is an interesting comment from one of the posters on Nola.com in response to the news story.
