The Kings Theatre in Bath Street Glasgow is to be refurbished at a cost of £7.2 million.Glasgow City Council is funding most of the work, but the theatre will be adding a £1 levy on each ticket sold to theatre-goers.The refurbishment will be in 7 phases and should be finished before the start of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.The Kings Theatre opened in 1904 and has been a popular venue for pantomime every Christmas.
