OJ SIMPSON TO STAY IN JAIL UNTIL BAIL IS PAID!

"I don't know if it's just arrogance. I don't know if it's ignorance."
That was the statement of the judge who clearly was fed up with O.J. Simpson this morning at his hearing who was picked up on Friday by a bails bondman in Florida. O.J. Simpson was found to have violated a condition of his bail - which he himself didn't put up - by trying to send a message to one of the witnesses in his armed robbery case.
The general consensus is that this was a very dumb move.
As a result, O.J. flew back to Las Vegas on Friday, accompanied by a bounty hunter, and has been sitting in jail ever since awaiting for today's hearing.
When the judge discovered that O.J. didn't even put the bail money up out of his own pocket the last time, she was clearly further aggravated.His bail bondsman put up the bail for O.J. - which was $125,000 - and paid the premium to an insurance company.
The judge decided to double Simpson's bail to $250,000 and ordered that he must pay the bail HIMSELF.
Simpson's attorney argued that basically O.J. was broke and that he would have to mortgage his house in Florida to get the money and that would take a few days.
The judge indicated that this was fine, but Simpson must stay in jail until the 15% or $37,500 was paid in full before he could be released.
He is restricted to travel within the continental U.S. only due to him being considered a flight risk under the circumstances. And again, he is not to contact any of the witnesses in the upcoming case no matter what.
His trial is scheduled for April 7th in Las Vegas.
