AfD Creates Its Bundestag Faction
In This Photo: Albrecht Glaser
Alice Weidel, who along with Alexander Gauland will lead the new Bundestag faction of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD), speaks with fellow AfD member Albrecht Glaser before a meeting of AfD party members to create the AfD Bundestag faction on September 26, 2017 in Berlin, Germany. The AfD came in third place with 12.6%, which gives it 94 seats in the Bundestag, the German parliament. One seat will however go to Frauke Petry, a leading AfD member from Saxony who in a surprise move announced yesterday that she will not join the AfD faction and instead serve as an independent.
