Minister of State Etienne Schouppe (CD&V) and Defence Minister Pieter De Crem (CD&V) and Foreighn Minister Steven Van Ackere (CD&V) talk to the media at the Belgian Federal Parliament on April 22, 2010 in Brussels, Belgium. The Belgian government has effectively collapsed because the Flemish liberal party has pulled out of Yves Leterme?s coalition leading to a political crisis. The liberal Open VLD party has lost faith in the government and says it has failed to resolve the dispute between Dutch and French speaking parties over electoral boundaries around the capital.
