Sotheby's Chairman Harry Dalmeny fields bids at the Old Masters Evening Sale in London, which was led by Sir Peter Paul Ruben's powerful Portrait of a Venetian Nobleman, which sold for £5.4 million in its first apperance on the market for over 60 years, and J. M. W. Turner's magnificent view of the River Thames, one of only two oil paintings of London by the artist left in private hands, at £3.4 million at Sotheby's on July 4, 2018 in London, England.
