Sultan Of Brunei Joins Gordon Brown For Signing Of Gurkha Agreement

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown (R) and the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah sign the 'Brunei Garrison Agreement' at 10 Downing Street on June 23, 2009 in London. The agreement has been extended for five years through an Exchange of Letters between Brown and the Sultan of Brunei. The British army maintains a garrison of around 100 British soldiers, which work alongside Nepalese Gurkha troops which also includes a jungle warfare school and a helicopter unit.
