Mark Cavendish (R) of Great Britain and riding for Team High Road takes one last look back as the sprinters approach the finish line but he was forced to reliquish the win when he was penalized 20 second for hanging onto a team car to catch the peloton after he crashed in the finishing circuits during Stage 6 of the Amgen Tour of California on February 23, 2008 from Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita, California. Luciano Pagliarini (left in yellow) of Brazil and riding for Saunier Duval-Scott was awarded the Stage win.
