Children Undergo Rehabilitation After Losing Limbs In Earthquake
(CHINA OUT) Artificial legs made for those who lost their legs in earthquake are seen at the Sichuan Province Orthopedic Center on July 9, 2008 in Chengdu of Sichuan Province, China. Since the deadly 7.9-magnitude earthquake on May 12 that took the lives of more than 69,000 people, efforts have been made to provide care and rehabilitation to the thousands of children who lost their limbs. It was reported that nearly 7,000 classrooms collapsed in the quake, crushing to death nearly 10,000 children and teachers under the debris.
